What Happens When We Design Your Vestments Each and every customer is invited to think about the ministry in which the garment will be used. This could involve looking at the places in which it will be used, the people it will be used with or the person who will wear it. Often there is a bible passage or a quote that means something in this context. The visual ideas can come from Christian art, icons and illustrations from life. The materials available also provide ideas for some clients. The next stage is for a design to be drafted. The customer's thoughts are key to what happens here. Yvonne's experience and expertise will be put into the design. Her commitment is that every customer has something they can appreciate visually and use as a ministry tool. Of course, ministers are different shapes and have differing levels of dexterity and mobility: we cater for people who find off-the-peg vestments just don't fit. We understand that the draft may need to be approved by family, friends and church committees. With customers around the world, we use traditional and electronic means to send sketches, ideas and samples to clients. When our customer is happy with the initial draft, we'll agree a contract price for the work and a deposit, finalise the technical details and start work. Yes, this does sound like a bespoke tailor. That is what we aim to do: individual designs, tailored for the customer and at roughly the same price as the catalogue equivalents. |
